Despite the extreme weather conditions that kept us physically apart, we were deeply honored to welcome Andreas Minaidis—Environmental & Training Manager at Diana Shipping Services S.A., Naval Architect, and Marine Engineer—for an inspiring remote guest lecture at Panteion University.

Connecting with us via Microsoft Teams, Andreas joined Professor Theodosios Palaskas’ course, “Special Topics in Applied Business and Organizational Management,” part of the Master's program in the Department of Economic and Regional Development.

Drawing from his extensive 11-year experience in environmental compliance, training frameworks, and maritime operations, Andreas engaged our students in a fruitful virtual dialogue. His lecture explored:

  • The Shore Office & Multinational Teams: Insights into the structure and management of diverse, global teams within the maritime industry.

  • Sea-Shore Dynamics: Navigating the unique challenges and complexities of relationships between sea-faring and shore-based personnel.

  • Talent & Team Structure: A practical look at how effective teams are built and the specific skills sought when welcoming new hires.

  • Emotion Management at Work: A highly engaging discussion on handling workplace emotions and team dynamics, delivered in his own unique and impactful way.

While our event photo might just be Teams meeting screenshot this time around, the knowledge and energy shared were as vibrant as ever! We extend our deepest gratitude to Andreas for his time, expertise, and dedication to bridging academic theory with real-world practice.

Thank you for a truly meaningful and impactful session, rain or shine!
